Current Role: Senior Allocation Planner
Previous Career Focus: Sports Commission (event bids and execution)
Post-Graduation Career Focus: Supply Chain

"At UMass, I found faculty who were extremely generous with their time, going out of their way to support my goals. Because the McCormack Department is located within a business school, I was able to access dual degree electives that brought depth to my areas of interest, while navigating core classes with a friendly and dynamic cohort. The cohort structure of both traditional MBAs and MBA/MS dual degree students was one of my favorite elements of the program. I was constantly challenged and inspired by others' perspectives and left the program with not only a network but with lasting friends."

Previous Career Focus: Athlete Management
Post-Graduation Career Focus: Sustainability in sports and the greater business world

"The decision to return for my Masters' degrees was inspired by a decade working as a woman in the cutthroat, male-dominated industries of sports and food. I knew the power of an MBA to formalize the business experience I had but chose this opportunity to achieve that without enormous debt, thanks to the WISE/McCormack Scholars Program. The program's two years of general MBA and sport-specific coursework with impressive classmates from a variety of backgrounds pushed me to see unique ways that I could use my experience and has inspired confidence that sets me up to tackle the business world going forward. I know the power of women in the sports world and there is no better way to showcase that than with the opportunity presented to me and my fellow WISE/McCormack scholars to learn at a top MBA and sport management program."

UMass Internship: Major League Baseball, Global Media
Post-Enrollment Career Focus: Sports Tech/Strategy and Fan Engagement at a league or conference office

"As a WiSE/McCormack scholar, I got the opportunity to hone my business skills through Isenberg's robust, rigorous and hands-on curriculum, and the opportunity to learn from and work with McCormack faculty, who have extensive industry and consulting experiences. UMass' focus on real-world projects and experiential learning has given me the opportunity to not only widen my horizons but also better understand the sports industry and where I see myself in it. In addition to this, at UMass, I found a support system that not only challenges me but also inspires me and helps me become better every day. If you want to work in the sports industry UMass is the place to be!"
