Program Curriculum
The WISE Executive Leadership Institute is offered in partnership with Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Founded in 1900, the Tuck School of Business is the first graduate school of management and consistently ranks among the top business schools in the world.
Tuck's world-class faculty combine research-based insights and case studies with real-world knowledge and global experience to help executives become more effective and better equipped to transform their organizations — driving innovation, growth and cross-company collaboration.
Participants will come away from the program better prepared to:
- Develop measures for evaluating company profitability and asset utilization efficiency
- Identify major organizational challenges and how to meet them
- Understand how effective leaders influence others and implement change in their organizations
- Use strategic communication to create a connection between strategy development and execution
- Assess their personal leadership style and how they impact team behaviors
- Explore work-life integration, maximize mentoring relationships, and think strategically about their careers
Session Descriptions
During WELI, faculty use a variety of teaching and learning methods, including presentation of frameworks, concepts and best practices; facilitated large group discussions; experiential learning; small group application exercises and individual self-assessment instruments. The faculty-led sessions are complemented by guest speakers and panelists on selected topics as well as opportunities for reflection, networking and physical exercise.
Leadership in Action: Getting Results with Others
Analyze your TypeCoach Verifier personality inventory, develop a behavioral understanding of leadership and teamwork, and apply concepts through team-based performance challenges. (Action Learning Associates)
Difficult Conversations
Explore why key conversations can be difficult, learn a structure for approaching them more effectively, and gain tools to manage emotions, identity and common pitfalls. (Lisa Dicker)
Negotiations
Reflect on your negotiation style, learn a structure for preparing and engaging in key negotiations, and practice applying these skills through experiential exercises and expert coaching. (Lisa Dicker)
The First Tenet of Leadership
Uncover the source of your authentic leadership, refine your leadership narrative, and explore ways to cultivate stronger followership and multidimensional leadership approaches. (Ella Bell Smith)
Reading Financial Statements and Case Study
Examine how financial statements interconnect, distinguish between cash flow and accrual accounting, and explore key financial concepts like working capital and performance metrics. Build confidence using financial data to evaluate opportunities and inform strategic decision-making, even without a finance background.
In a follow-up session, apply these concepts to a real-world case from the sports industry, analyzing how the organization manages cash flow, finances investments and mitigates risk. Explore pricing strategies, assess operational decisions and strengthen your ability to translate financial data into strategic insight. (Joseph Gerakos)
Strategic Networking

Managing Your Visibility

Leadership in Disruptive Times
Explore the paradoxes of modern leadership, learn tools to navigate uncertainty and change, and build the confidence to turn disruption into opportunity.
